Apple-Pear Galette

A galette is a rustic form of tart.  They can be filled with sweet or savory ingredients.  The crust isn’t pressed into a tart pan, so they have a much less confining, and more organic shape.  I love to make plum tarts in the summer and fall, and this is my winter version of that treat.  The list of ingredients is short, and the crust is quick to prepare only requiring 20 minutes of chill time in the refrigerator.  My family devours these galettes as breakfast, desserts, or snacks.  They can be kept at room temperature for up to three days if you can pull yourself away from it.
